RAFT at APT Gallery London

Following on from the multiple Raft projects I undertook in 2015 and 2016, this week I will be teaming up with Hidehiko Ishibashi and Sarah Carne to develop a new body of work exploring more themes related to the idea of the Raft.

We will be working at APT Gallery in Deptford London as part of their August Collective programme.

Throughout the week the gallery will function as a making space and as a forum for discussion. Large scale sheets of paper will record artists working drawings as well as contributions by passing studio artists and members of the public.

There will be a Raft of ideas; Raft as escape, as play, as adventure, as survival, as support, as rescue, as assemblage, as re-purposing of materials, as motif in art history, as a floating island.

There will be an opportunity for the public to view work in progress and to contribute to the development of the project, on Saturday 1st September and Sunday 2nd September from 12noon to 5pm
